HOW WE DID IT...

GTA was appointed by Helical to refurbish the 7th floor of The Warehouse at The Bower Building in London, a 12,400-square-foot project completed in just four weeks. This fast-track refurbishment demonstrates our ability to deliver high-quality results within tight timelines. The goal was to create a welcoming and modern environment for staff and visitors, while respecting the building’s industrial character. The project began with the demolition and strip-out of the existing bar and flooring in the reception area. Our design team transformed the space into an inviting reception and lounge, integrating a teapoint and collaboration zone to foster interaction and comfort. A stylish new teapoint was installed, featuring standout elements such as feature tiles, a brass footrail, and elegant tap accents. Scandinavian-inspired furniture was selected to achieve a contemporary yet timeless aesthetic, while new flooring and feature lighting brightened and elevated the lounge. A neutral colour palette complemented the industrial architecture, ensuring broad tenant appeal. The redesigned floor successfully repositioned the workspace offer, introducing a new reception and social hub that includes a coffee bar, collaborative areas, and open-plan working spaces. Our project prioritised sustainability by retaining and reusing infrastructure, including relocating glazing and doors and reupholstering existing pieces. New key furniture items and bespoke joinery were carefully added to complete the design. This refurbishment delivered a modern, collaborative, and welcoming environment that enhances the building's character while meeting user needs. Following its success, GTA has been appointed to refurbish the 3rd floor of The Tower at The Bower Building, where we aim to uphold the same high standards of design and execution.
